Earlier this year, legislators in California proposed a new law that would set up a universal healthcare system in the state, similar to the Canadian system. Considering the scope of this proposal and the fact that it has been made in the most populous state, SB 840 has received remarkably little attention.

Recently I came across an excellent article on SB 840 by a California attorney who, like me, represents nutritional supplement companies. Scott is also counsel to The National Health Federation. The article makes a compelling argument that the last thing we need in this country is universal health care. Scott has generously provided the article to post at NutriSupLaw, and to read it click here.
