2014-01-01_21-36-28Justin Leonard, self-described “consumer fitness specialist” has launched a new consumer reviews and feedback website regarding supplements at www.supplementcritic.com. The site features reviews on consumer dietary supplements, ostensibly written by other consumers. A press release calls the site “a platform for consumers to voice their opinions about the effectiveness of popular dietary supplements.”

As is typical, the site appears to be supported by advertising. Such sites are common for other consumer products, but this is the first supplement focused site I have seen. Of course, since anyone can post anonymously to the site, it’s quite possible that a positive post that appears to be from a genuine consumer might really be from someone at the company who makes the supplement (or a negative post might be from a competitor).
