Joel B. Rothman
Joel B. Rothman represents clients in intellectual property infringement litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, defamation, trade libel, unfair competition, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and commercial matters. Joel’s litigation practice also includes significant focus on electronic discovery issues such as e-discovery management and motion practice relating to e-discovery.
Joel is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law by The Florida Bar, “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and rated 10.0 (superb) by Avvo. Joel is a former chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar and a member of the Section’s Executive Council. Prior to relocating to Florida, Joel was an Assistant District Attorney in the Rackets Bureau, Investigations Division, of the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
Joel received his J.D. with honors from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University in 1991, and his B.A. magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988. Joel is admitted in Florida, Georgia, Washington State and New York, as well as many federal courts around the country.

Evan A. Andersen
After graduation from Davidson College, Evan worked as a Legal Assistant at Cahill Gordon and Reindel, LLP in New York City. During law school at Wake Forest University, he spent a summer as an intern for the Honorable Joel M. Feldman in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. In law school, Evan was a staff member of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal and was awarded CALI Achievement Awards in Intellectual Property and Trademarks and the 2007 ABA and Bureau of National Affairs Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law.
Evan practiced law for seven years with Carolyn Wright under her Photo Attorney banner, helping photographers, videographers, and other copyright holders with their legal needs. After Carolyn decided to cut back her practice, Evan opened Pixel IP so that he could continue helping clients defend their intellectual property rights, providing creative-minded professionals with the legal foundation necessary for a successful business, and educating the public about copyright law and proper licensing practices.

Joe worked in private practice for a small intellectual property boutique before opening his own firm handling all aspects of intellectual property including patent, copyright and trademark infringement litigation.
Joe is admitted to the Patent Bar and has prosecuted numerous patents, many in his academic field of chemistry.
Joe graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2008. Prior to Cardozo, Joe taught middle school math and science in New York City, and also worked as a regulatory specialist and chemist for a supplement company.
Joe is a graduate of Binghamton University where he received a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Philosophy.
When he is not litigating intellectual property cases, Joe helps his wife Loren chase after their two children Micah and Skylar.

Angela’s experience as a professional musician in the South Florida area and later as a translator in Spanish-language broadcast television gave rise to her interest in intellectual property matters. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Thomas College of Law with a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, earning numerous awards for academic accomplishments, and authoring three articles – on trademarks, cyber insurance, and facial recognition technology – that have been published by leading law journals.
Prior to joining SRIPLAW, Angela interned for Chief Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn at the Northern District of Texas in Dallas, and worked in intellectual property as well as commercial litigation firms in the South Florida area. Angela currently represents plaintiffs in copyright and trademark matters. Backed by the amazing support staff at SRIPLAW, Angela has spearheaded large trademark, copyright, and patent infringement cases against hundreds of foreign counterfeiters, as well as individual copyright claims for independent artists in the U.S. and abroad. She is passionate about IP rights and the role they play in our everyday lives.

Layla graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2020 with a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. She served as the president of the Intellectual Property and Cyber Law Society, vice-justice of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, vice-president of Asian American Law Students Association, and as a research assistant.
During law school, Layla was awarded many CALI Achievements Awards including in copyright, UN Seminar Global Ethics & Global Governance, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, Conflicts of Law, Patents and Trade Secrets. Layla earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!).

Faith grew up in southeast Georgia and attended Georgia Southern University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and graduated cum laude. Consistent with her major, Faith was intimately involved in the political environment, helping to found a political science association at her university, volunteering for a US Senate campaign and, after graduation, working in Washington, DC for a grassroots organization to fundraise for various non-profits.
Upon returning to Georgia, Faith worked as a paralegal in an Atlanta law firm during the day, and attended classes at the Georgia State University College of Law in the evening. By assisting skilled attorneys while simultaneously pursuing her juris doctor degree, she developed a deep understanding of the practical aspects of litigation, and gained invaluable experience that has helped her become a more well-rounded lawyer.
During law school, Faith was involved in the Sports & Entertainment Law Society and focused her coursework in Intellectual Property Law, which allowed her to develop a deep admiration for artists and a passion for representing them. She graduated law school in December 2021 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in June 2022. Faith specializes in copyright infringement claims, and assists her clients throughout the pre-suit negotiation phase and litigation process.
